2021 NSF Project Highlights

Glenfield park

Despite the challenges of COVID-19, 2021 was a big year for Newcastle Street Furniture. We were involved in some amazing projects, collaborating with local councils, government, landscape architects, and developer companies.

Glenfield Park Playground

This award-winning playground was built in collaboration with Variety – the Children’s Charity and Touched by Olivia Foundation, with the aim to create an inclusive play space for kids of all ages and abilities.

We worked with Campbell Town Council, alongside Simpson Landscapes & Consulting.

Built in-house in our workshop, we supplied all the structures and furniture for this project. Our custom-made furniture is made with high quality timber, all sourced through sustainable Australian companies that support the trees being regrown for generations to come.

James Street Plaza

The existing street furniture at James Street Plaza was replaced with new furniture at the edges of the plaza to deliver a more flexible open space, shade trees were retained, and new garden beds planted at the base of the trees.

These structures were manufactured in our workshop and installed by our team.

Working with the City of Newcastle, we also installed creative and interactive lighting features which celebrate Hamilton’s unique character and heritage.
